AssetTV’s Small Caps Masterclass features Craig Hodges, Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager
Craig Hodges joined host Laura Keller and three other small-cap professionals on Asset TV's Small-Cap Masterclass to discuss opportunities in small caps and prospects for 2019.
Given the current economy, Craig sees many positives. He believes that small caps don't have some of the issues large caps do, especially surrounding tariffs. While parts of the market are very expensive, the majority of the market is not. In Craig’s opinion, active investors may be able to find potential unrecognized opportunities in areas of the market that have not been well covered.
Looking at the small-cap market specifically, he feels that there are many mispriced, underappreciated stocks that haven't gone up simply because they're not a part of any index. To him, that indicates that there is significant potential available for investors.
He believes the market is getting to the point where small companies may benefit. Hodges is positioned to look for this potential in small cap stocks.
Regarding mid-term elections, Craig thinks most investors and most companies want a stable investment environment. Regardless of the outcome, he believes it will be bullish for the market.
